IPS member visit to The London Studios

Come and join this IPS sponsored visit to The London Studios

As this legendary building on the South Bank nears its closing date, you will be presented with a brief look at the history of LWT, and also trace the four phases of the sound control rooms, - Neve, Neve V Series, Calrec T Series, and Calrec Apollo.

You will see and hear Studio 1’s control room and see how it interfaces with the floor. Our hosts will also try to visit any other areas not in use, and also give an overview of past post audio areas.

This oportuinity is offered before the complex is finally closed for conversion to riverside appartments.

Meet at the Reception area between 19:00 and 19:25. The visitors will then be split into groups for tours of the studios, control rooms and (if available) post areas.

After the tours the groups will be brought back together for a Q&A with our hosts.

19:00-19:25 arrivals for a 19:30 start, until approx 21:30.

This event is likely to be very popular and so tickets are available to members only. If you have to cancel please notify the organisers as there will be members on a waitlist for 'returns'. Please do not turn up if you not possess a ticket as entry will most likely be refused.
